I'm getting noise from my Line 6 X3 Pro through the AES/EBU output into a MOTU 1208. I've verified that the sample rates match. It's a bit difficult to explain, but I'll give it a go.

It is white noise and it's not constant. It lasts for maybe a half-second then maybe a second of silence, and it alternates between the right & left channel. The duration of the silence is related to the sample rate. At 44.1, it's slower. At 48, it's faster.

Any ideas?
