I got about 1:30 in, threw up in my mouth a little and had to stop.

Back in reality, Obama's approval rating is holding steady in the mid to high 60s.

I wouldn't use the phrase "to be exact"  in regards to something as nebulous as an approval rating.

Especially when quoting as biased a source as the Wall Street Journal.

FWIW Bloomberg is reporting it at 68%.

How cute. It's fun to see these slimy little fuck-wits squirm.

Again I ask, as I have been asking for years. How is it possible that these people believe any of this?? Freaks.. They are all freaks..

What I take from this is that we are screwed because of comin'iszem' and strange stuff going behind close doors..

Yikes.

And as John Stewart pointed out the difference between communism and capitalism is 3%.

The shamelessness of republicans is for me at once amusing and frightening at the same time.  I try to remind myself that it is a fear of empowering others that motivates them.  It's sad to think of people shutting out other cultures from Philistine motives.

yeah.. there's a lot of confusion in regards to capitalism and communism.. most people don't even know what the words actually represent.

if capitalism gives private propriety to individuals and communism takes away the concept of private propriety and replaces it with government-owned and run propriety then communism is actually closer to what is happening.

but perhaps even more accurate would be the term 'Fascism'

Both capitalism and communism require faith in institutions. That faith in our capital institutions is betrayed, leaving nothing but government, which is us. We can call it communism but that term has been so poisoned in the US we might as well adapt to the newer term communitarianism or resurrect the old idea of the commons. The economy doesn't belong to a few people, it belongs to all of us. The minute the FDIC was required for people to have faith in putting their money into private institutions, we no longer had pure capitalism, we had a hybrid. Its that hybrid we have now. Nothing has changed except that the safety mechanisms have had to kick in, and they're overwhelmed by the scale of the incompetence and betrayal.

I think that you can equally apply that to the shamelessness  of democrats too . Both parties prejudicial tendencies are quite a show from the sidelines ( from my POV , boring and predictable )........ I don't think that either group cares about their fellow man as much as they do about their own empowerment . I see lots of  dysfunction , candy coated with smugness and flag waving and it's universally prevalent . Yay !

I believe capitalism is closer to natural law and therefore has more potential to work.

communism only tends to CONCENTRATE inevitable corruption.

as far as the de-evolution of the USA, that was caused ONLY by the dissolution of the ideals and day-to-day practices by both citizens and state, expressed in the CONSTITUTION..

everything which came later was the usual old-world corruption and power-grabbing

OK, so take the average of the left and the right and you get 64.5%.  I won't use that phrase again.

I wasn't quibbling about the numbers so much, just pointing out that opinion polls are far from an exact science.
