Powdered Diamonds
« on: April 18, 2009, 05:05:46 PM »

I guess the new rage in heat sink compound is crushed synthetic diamond.  It has 4 times (or so) the amount of conductivity of silver, which is more conductive than gold or copper, but is not used often for contacts since it tarnishes, unlike gold.  How long until audiophiles are pining for diamond cables?  I can totally hear the difference and I can't believe anyone listens to music without diamond cables.

Diamond cables -- Nick you're missing a diamond opportunity to make a lot of gold...

I have the feeling that I have more experience in my little finger than you do in your whole body about audio electronics..

Why over complicate things?  Cut out the middle-man and just start making diamonds.

Then, propose to your girlfriend with the diamonds, get married and pawn the wedding gifts for COLD HARD CASH.

Actually we're moving out of cables altogether, and going straight into conductive quantum energy, pulsing gravity waves. Much more efficient. Cables are so pre-Hawking. This will eventually trickle down to you material luddites.

there was a wild wild west episode where a villain was melting diamonds and the result somehow  gave him hyper speed I believe.
