I Want This Car

The Alfa Romeo Mi.To. (Milano/Torino).  Unfortunately only 46 of the one pictured below are being made.  Others are being manufactured but so far not for the U.S.

Very hip, Barry.

So, what's stopping you?  I'll bet if it was a microphone and there were only 46 being made, you'd still manage to get your paws on not just one but two.

You must not want it that badly.....    Razz

The coolest Alfa ever, I saw it in London in 68, looked into buying it in 82 but was told that if I was taller than 5'9" I couldn't drive it:

the alfa mi.to. is based on the fiat punto.  i think might prefer a 1 series?

dan's batmobile is the phantom corsair.

and here  [imo] is an even better picture of marcello gandini:

I didn't know that.  But having had a look at the Punto (a bizarre name), I think the Mi.To. looks better.

Series 1 -- I think I still prefer the Mi.To. in looks.

Ouch!!! That's mean!!!

Do you think Taiwanese children making Nike shoes might also be making the Mi.To?  If so maybe there's a chance of me owning one.

Quite similar design to A-R's GT of several years.

I have almost bought this one several times:

It seems the Mi.To. has borrowed a lot from previous Alfa Romeos and its higher priced siblings.  That's kind of what's so cool about it.  That technology has been passed down to a much less expensive car.  But no one is saying if they'll be sold in the U.S.  And surely it will be impossible for me to latch onto one of the 46 special edition vehicles.

If you drive that car in reverse it becomes an Earth-Car.

mi.to seems to be what happens when designers attempt to adapt elements of :
http://www.google.com/images?q=tbn:zaiqvv8RBrCftM::www.nextautos.com/files/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/alfa-8c.jpg
(the alfa 8c competizione, based on the maserati gt)

to a shape of vastly different proportions...
a chacun son goute. (better looking than a dodge, anyway...)

another fwd alfa coupe:  the brera [design credited to giorgetto giugiaro]
