I go to work somewhere between 9:00-9:30, but I actually start at 11:00 or so. Before that, it's master burning and other stuff. Home I got at around 19:30 or so. Sometimes I book a mastering to start in the evening, but it's pretty rare.

5 days a week, I'm pretty strict at keeping my weekends off.

I try to work from 12:00- 8:00 but lately it's been more like 11:30- 10:00. Plenty busy around here. Usually it's a CD mastering project and four to eight or so sides a day.

Damned, my record is only something like 40 tracks.

Is there a band called "Shart"?

Reminds me of a band I recorded and mastered back in the day called AC  where we recorded to 2" - pre mixed and bussed all the instruments and vocals to one track  of the 2" - did that 24 times - so basically there was 24 track of hard core songs playing all at once : (.  Filled up the whole reel.  Wall of sludge?

So technically there were more songs.  They were just all playing at the same time.   Pressed to vinyle. Went number one in Berlin  and made the BB breakout charts - Go figure.  Probably the strangest session I ever did.

I'm not trying to beat the record though.

Not mastering, but a client, Jim Tierney of Portsmouth NH did a series of records that featured 24 bands recorded in 24 hours. All punk stuff as I recall. In and out of the studio in an hour. You got what you got.

For a 3 piece all in all they were cool(a bit hyper).  The lead singer/guitarist was a little out there.  One of the only sessions I did where I turned the monitors all the way down/off once I hit record.
