B&W Parts?
« on: March 20, 2009, 09:42:50 AM »

Hi all,

I have a 803 with a blown tweeter. I went to a local dealer previously, but they were a little bit weird to deal with. I was wondering if there was a dealer that might sell me this part by mail, one that might come recommended by somebody here.

Thanks,

Noah

I've never dealt with them for B&W parts but I've received good service from these guys for other stuff:

When my son was a toddler he pushed in the dustcap
on one of the low end drivers on my B&W's.
The distributor Brad mentions above sent me a replacement
free of charge.

Yep, they're 20 minutes from me... were great to deal with when I had 805s.

A few years ago I needed a new tweeter for an 808. They sold me the last one they had. They also said they would rewind the voice coil if I needed another one. That made me happy.

The phone number Brad posted worked for me. If you have problems after tomorrow let me know, I have an email address for one of the guys in Customer Service on another machine I would send you, he was more than helpful.

I contacted B&W with the info Brad gave and they were able to repair the driver instead of replacing it with new. The speaker will be up and running in no time (well, in some time, at least).

Thanks again.
