Well, we saved daylight at the end of the day, which is kind of the point.

If you're complaining about the loss of an hour of sleep, I will sympathize with you there.  I too, am hurting.

I like the sun going down at 7pm now though.....I'll catch up on sleep tonight.

Best day of the year.

When it changes back, it's sad.

West Oz finishes our three year trial of DST this month, and a referendum will follow later in the year to decide if DST should be continued.

All of the polls seem to indicate that we will not be having DST again.

It was voted down years before, but some oxygen-thief politician...but I repeat myself...decided that it would be a good thing. Fucker.  Twisted Evil

Maintaining the 2 hour time difference with the Eastern States is not sufficient reason to have it, especially when it puts you out of step with your major trade markets in Asia...all of whom are in our timezone, but don't have DST.

Cheers,
Tim

So that's what it is. I was curious as to why the 'offline hour' of PSW had moved forward again.

Just out of interest, when does it change back again?

Are you kidding? I count the days until DST! More daylight hours to spend in the great outdoors! Cool

I'm up early regardless, so the alleged "lost hour" doesn't affect me at all.

Rode my scooter to work in the dark this morning, now I have lots of daylight after work to get things done.

It's cool I can get more stuff done around the house in the evenings as well as hit the fishing hole before dark. I just have to get use to it.

Wouldn't be a problem if they didn't fuck it up in the first place sometime last fall (and every fall).

I just don't see the advantage in inducing jet-lag-like symptoms on the entire population twice a year.  Pick one and stick with it.

I like the way it re-establishes the arbitrariness of the clock. Twice a year we get reminded it could anything, like 168.6 bleens in a bkkchh, 72 bkkchhs in a mcvlky.

DS

PS - I recall vaguely an experiment in London in 68, NOT going off DST. I took the 207 bus down Uxbridge Road to school in Acton at night. The sun came up sometime after 8. Its a visual impression I'll never forget, walking to the bus in the dark by those incredible amber lights.

I was an hour late for everything yesterday!  I did not know it was changing, and didn't even realize i was running late until i sent a text and my iPhone clock was outta sync with my whole world....

Maybe next time the REP forum should announce it a day ahead for those of us who live in caves... yes that's it... it was REP's fault!  I feel better knowing that.

DS means i get time for a surf after my working day. Not as great when the kids were younger as they tend to stay up too late. I remember them getting tired and ratty by the end of DS each year.

We don't do Daylight Saving Time either, and I like it too.

That's right, "Saving" is not plural, in spite of what the announcer on KUAT said.

Same thing happened to me. I was an hour late for work.

You only get that excuse once a year, so why not? hahaha.

Oh, and I still feel "jet lagged". I've been having a really hard time sleeping the last 2 nights. Worse than usual. Anyone else have that problem when DST happens? I feel like it happens to me every year.

Yup. Haven't slept more than an hour or two since Sunday.

For the folks who don't care for it, look on the bright side. It should be a nice little shot in the arm for the economy. More daylight hours, more activity, more retail hours, etc. I know I've been suffering from a bit of cabin fever. Sunlight is an amazing rejuvenator. Cool

What do farmers and cows have to do with it?  The cows get up when they get up, regardless of what number a clock displays, no?
