"It's as if they immediately thought to act on these bodies," Fiske said.

Um...  duh?

It's not "as if" in any way shape or form... it absolutely is.  40 million years of evolution at work here people.  The biological imperative of the male is to impregnate as many females as possible.  It really is just that simple.

Deeply rooted instincts leaking out around society's attempts to suppress and/or redirect them are at the very heart of many of today's problems.

Completely monogamous "till death do us part" relationships made perfect evolutionary sense...  when the average life expectancy was 35.

And now to throw a wet blanket over you all:

Sex objects: Pictures shift men's view of women

Ian Sample, Chicago
guardian.co.uk, Monday 16 February 2009 13.42 GMT

Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated.

Yep... I keep a spanner on my nightstand.

I have the feeling that I have more experience in my little finger than you do in your whole body about audio electronics..
