"The Trio".....stuff
« on: June 30, 2004, 09:29:02 PM »

Hey I apologize if this has been discussed to death & if so could I be pointed to a thread on it. Just such a great album & was curious about some of the techniques & gear used to record it. Thanks.

Wow.  You know it has been discussed before, and I regret to tell you that I'm loathe to put hours into typing it in again; not to mention that my memory might not serve that well after almost 20 years.  Let me see if I can look around and find something for you to read.

There's some exceptionally sweet and plucky dobro on the track
"Those Memories of You", which is my personal favorite on the CD.

Not to split hairs but I'm thinking it was a Weissenborn maybe.
Either way - great tune.

"To Know Him Is To Love Him" is definitely a Weissenborn, with a Sunrise pickup.  I don't remember what we did on "Memories Of You".  Have to take a listen.
