When does an angle become non-parallel
« on: December 03, 2008, 10:22:22 AM »

Are there any guidelines as to how much of an angle you need for two walls to become non-parallel.  Not  technically, but in actual practice.  Does it need to be 10 degrees . . . more?

I'm creating a new vocal booth out of an existing 12x12x16h room.  I'm going to bring the one wall in about 2 feet, and am willing to build it on an angle, so i'm wondering how much should I slant it to be most effective.

TIA,
jim

Vocal booths: I assume it's going to be very dead in there?
If yes, and for vocals, you don't need angled walls.

Angled walls are usually part of a bigger scheme of diffraction and energy repartition in the room.

If it's just to avoid flutter between 2 surfaces, then 7
