Mmmmmmm, keyboards....slobber, drool.

D'oh, I think you need some heavy Lucazite™ mic stands though.

Fun with marching percussion today.

That's a very appropriate shot for March Forth.

I had some of that action recently in Jamaica except that I recorded the band outside and these guys were playing as if they were one drummer on a single kit.  The coordination was incredible and so was the result.

Yes it is.  This one's from last year, lots of musicians stuffed into a small studio, shot through the CR window:

Speaking of a mess... this ended up being 42 inputs. All the pans were individually mic'd (not my idea) plus room mics (out of shot). If I had to do it again, I would do it OUTSIDE! And yes, it sounded exactly as it looks...

"A"KS!

Love 'em. That was used for some processing...all we needed was some Oblique Strategy cards and a bottle of good Czech absynth.

Ab-Synthi?

We had a Synthi at my high school,  it was my first hands- on modular experience.

Have just come back from a 3 day session in East Sussex, UK, working with Ian Caple for a Belgian pop singer called Mattieu Bioul.

Here is my little play pen. I was overdubbing Hammond (M102/Leslie 145)) electric, lap steel, acoustic. ukulele, and whatever was around as well as a bit of gospel piano (out of shot to the right)

12 tracks in total.

Thats a TNC ACM-1200 in the foreground that did all the acoustic guitar tracking . Gibson J-45.

I had a lot of fun.
