It's different glorious mess every time. Love it.

The band is Calm Asa Comma.

Octobans!  Was he actually playing them?

Mine have become Sextobans.

He played them, but NOT on the record!  He used a Sonor kick, Vistalite floor and a whole plethora of snares. Good player and very adventurous.

We do use the octobans occasionally though.

I'll go out on a limb and say TLM103s. And a Beta 52 on the floor tom?

Yep. The lowly 103's. It's the ONLY time those things ever get used in here and ONLY because of their limitations...otherwise, I'd sell 'em. The floor mic is a D112, 57 and D190e on the snare, D12 on the kick, M160's and NU47 out front.

Funny. the REALLY weird stuff is sitting on the Rhodes! Any guesses?

A lovely little box of 3 E-mu modules. Would like to acquire those. The thingy in the middle looks familiar...

Cigar to the man. Emu Universal Active Filter (most extreme Q  with no feedback on earth), Envelope Follower and Potpourri.

Close...Z Vex Seekwah. Love that thing...along with most everything else Z does.

The blue mystery box is an Ampersand quad VCO prototype that Ed Rudnick built for his offshoot company "&". Ideas that he came up with that Emu didn't pounce on were offered on the side. There are few more very unique designs in that line that never really saw the light of day.

In the spirit of the thread...tracking Bilbao Syndrome in May. Here's the keyboard setup:

I'm sure you can recognise some of the goodies here David! Synth pictured went caput and was replaced by a Minimoog.

apart from the drums, everybody set up in the control room. We used stage monitors instead of cans. Bassman driven Marshall 4x12 in the next room.
