SSL XLogic Channel question
« on: June 17, 2004, 03:30:25 PM »

If you don't have enough money buy a new G 5 and protools HD or Accel would
buying 2 SSL XLogic Channels be the way to go, that is with the extra SSL XLogic Channel A to D cards?

I currently own a G3 400 and a Digi 001.

Wouldn't this be the cheapest way to get a really PRO sound?

I'd say there's more to "PRO Sound" than just equipment. But then again, that's common sense.

If you go for the XL channel, you won't be able to blame it on the equipment though. The A/D cards are just starting to trickle out of production, so you might be in for a wait. Not sure how they'd hook upi to the Digi 001 either and if you'd take full advantage of their extended sampling rate if that's what you're after.

IMHO, the XL channel sounds great, and if their A/D card has anything in common with the ones they fit on their digital desks, they should be cool too.

Note: you only need one A/D card per pair of XLogic channels.
