Source for BC441 and BC461 transistors?
« on: October 30, 2008, 02:36:04 PM »

I'm looking for a very small quantity of BC441 and BC461 transistors... 10 of each for starters...

I've found a few distributors online, but their minimum order was $100, and they were willing to sell me 20 transistors for $100  ouch!

Anybody have a source in the US?

Send me your full address and I may send you 10 of each by mail - free of charge as these transistors are quite cheap here in the Netherlands.

Chuck

You can also get them from Farnell for about $1/ea. Order through Newark Electronics.

Richard

Can you post a link to a vendor? I'd be looking for a much large quantity of BC441-6 and BC461-6. The prices I've been quoted here are ridiculous.

Hi Chuck,

Try Solid State Sales in New Jersey, they're pretty good for EU and far east parts.

I got a pile of BC413's and 16's a few months back, they were just pennies each.

Richard,

I've been looking into a group buy with several people, so possibly 1000 or 2000 each.

Any preference for plain BC type or the -4, -5 or -6 ??
I may be able to get the Magnatec brand or DGE for you.

Chuck,

These types are available, but I will have to order these.
The free of charge ones I am going to send to you are the "plain" BC types from my own stock.

Richard,
Thanks for the additional information.

The low power version may not be of much use in this application, but I've got a few of the -6 samples coming.  If these are the ticket, we may be intereted in getting in on Dave's group buy.

Thanks again,
