Hi!

I've been auditioning some 6072 / 12AY7 tubes in my AKG C28a, and was surprised to find that some brands are simply too wide or too long to fit.

Obviously I don't want to spend money on tubes that don't fit. Has anyone else found this and come up with a list of tubes brands that do / don't fit?

aren't five star the best ones to use.

Original GE 6072 will fit an AKG C28, because the mic's housing diameter was dimensioned for that tube
