I noticed these recommendation are 8 ohm speakers, I thought I read on this thread that people like 4 ohm speakers???  Why?

Eminence makes a big range.

some of them can sound good, and some sound AWFUL, to me.

I like JBL bass instrument speakers a lot, although they are definitely brighter than the stock Ampeg speaker (which was a Jensen?)


My Vox 4x12 bass cabs have Oxfords which i quite like.
and they're not overly pricey.

I had Jess Oliver re-do an 18" for my B-18. The more I use it the more I like it.
