How many of you good folks have gotten your HEDD 192 upgraded to the newest converters?

I think Cranesong still needs to update the firmware to get it to run at 192, but apart from that I'd like to know what the general consensus is.

Was it worth it?

Does it effect the processing as well?

Also, if you sent it in, what was the turn around time for the upgrade like?

I'm weighting whether to do this now or wait for the firmware to get updated so any opinions would be great.

The converter upgrades are well worth it imo. I've only had the D/A board upgraded $198 + postage & it was a drop in solution. I only had to lift the top remove the old D/A board (which plugs in) & then plug in the new board. The difference was immediately noticeable.

I'm now going to get the A/D board done after hearing similar reports from others, but this will require additional revisions to the board. Oh & it has no bearing on the sound of the processing.

I upgraded both AD and DA stages to v6 the year before last.

A noticeable improvement, well worth every penny.

Definitely recommended.
