I am at a loss. I'm mixing this project and it sounds fine in the studio. But when I burn a copy, the kick drum is gone. I thought it was some sort of phase cancellation, but I can't seem to find it. And I thought I just missed it when I bounced the files, but it happened three times. It's like the kick is getting dropped when the CD gets burned. I never had this problem before. What stupid thing am I missing?

Are you going analog out to an external cd recorder or adding any form of compression after the fact?

I'm bouncing the files down from DP4 and burning it with Toast Titanium. I think it's something to do with the bouncing process, but I'm not sure.

Have you tried reversing polarity on one channel of the finished CD and listening to it? You could also have some sort of auto roll-off set in your mastering software.

Is the kick present in the mixdown file? Sounds like the kick is been routed to another output that's not included in the bounce.
