fleet foxes
jose gonzalez - veneer
sigur ros - the new one

And I'm rediscovering how insanely great my Bailterspace records are after a few years on the shelf.  J, check out Capsul some time... you'd love it.

Fixes?

Evans Blue - The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume
Evans Blue - The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal of Life Ends
Nonpoint - To The Pain
Karnivool - Themata

It's summer and I'm still working out a breakup from a longish relationship.  Almost all the music I'm listening to ATM is fix...it's like..."I HAVR to listen to this or my head will explode because the songs are stuck in there..."

The weird thing is that my tastes are swinging heavy again.  I'm not sure why...but it's fun and it's high-energy.  I guess I'm enjoying the "workout music."

PS - Karnivool is the most amazing band I've been introduced to in the last few years.  AMAZING songs.  Brilliant.  Proggy without being annoying or sterile.  Great balance between brains and balls.

Bad Religion
Social Distortion
Big Black
Katatonia
Big Blue Ball

Not minding Fleet Foxes, more of a glass of wine end of day listen (Beach House as well), but during a day at work, I don't mind a few  loud guitars and the like.  Not even listening half the time, just background music to drown out the Sirius Hits that always seems to be playing in the rest of the building.

I tried so hard to understand/like Fleet Foxes.  I must be too square...

Heavy Rotation:

Glossary - The Better Angels of our Nature (free @ www.glossary.us)
Lucero - Rebels, Rogues, and Sworn Brothers (http://www.luceromusic.com/media/music/index.phpstreamable)
Marah - Angels of Destruction

The Glossary and Lucero albums make me feel like I am 17 years old and hearing Springsteen's Born to Run for the first time.

The Marah stuff is brand new for me but I am liking it a bunch.

Tell Tale Heart's "the cost of living" is in my heavy rotation too.  i don't think it counts tough since i produced it and mixed it.  it's just a really good record.
