Although it may be a long way from becoming a full passenger carrying vehicle I can see the benefits of the technology for more regular transport systems.

This could possibly negate traditional aero-dynamic problems for car designers and provide secondary lift and propulsion for normal aircraft.

Mainly though it will make a brilliant plaything for the house and garden.

This isn't necessarily the world's first flying saucer.  It is just the first publicly discussed saucer.

I'm not into Area 51 crap.  I'm just saying that if this guy has thought of it, chances are the military which puts far more resources into such things, has already developed something.
