Without having read the accompanying article (surely there has got to be one), it's my hope this controversial cover will draw all kinds of readers (progressive and conservative) to read what is printed inside.
At first glance, the cover is filled with every Obama hating "gimmick" from the conservatives. I see it as a brilliant way to sell issues. The New Yorker has the credentials to pull off something good if they want to.
I'll not make any further comment until I know more. But it is certainly going to get all the press the New Yorker hopes for.
