And Howdy Doody keeps an eye on it all.

There's a thousand stories in Bob's picture alone.

and one day
Pat Simmons is starting a vocal on my U67 and Ted says
hey lets use a 57 or 58
I just say hell ok
we try it and guess what
it sounds like ass or should I say
its a 57 .... and ted asks me if I think its gona cut it and I say well
you know
I think a dynamic mic is good for this song but what about a mic I have
...
A Heil pr 20 !!

I set it up and
dial it in
and

Bob - with all those mics so close together on your workbench - you are gonna have some phasing issues to sort out!

Hey all,

To help clean up our Forum appearance, I am moving this awesome Bob Heil thread down into the ranks of the mortals.

It will always be here when needed though!

We will soon have a new "Ask Somebody" thread for another month as well.

Hello all,

I will state this one more time and risk some criticism here for commercial speech. It is worth it though, because Bob is my friend.

Heil Sound is not some rich Harmon subsidiary, or a maker of junk, trading on its 50 year old heritage. Heil Sound is Bob Heil with a gold mine of personal experience with some of the worlds mega star rock bands, and a small group of Americans in Fairview Heights Il, who as the tee shirt I am wearing says, "Give a Shit!"

If you are a Mix Mag subscriber, please vote for the Heil PR35. If you are not a Mix Mag subscriber, then subscribe and vote for Bob's PR35. The TEC Awards may be the meaningless country club of pro audio to some, but to Bob it is an extremely well deserved vote of confidence from those of us in the trenches, who know the difference between a quality product and a good advertising campaign.

I have NO business relationship with Bob, do not intend to work for him, do not own stock in his company, or owe him money. He does have certain information regarding my past, but no paternity suits have been filed and the statute of limitations have run out on most of that stuff years ago.

Best regards,

Bill

If you'd like, I could post a bunch of my stuff...   then you could all spend the month asking "What the hell were you thinking?"

I got this video in an email today. It's a profile of Mr. Heil on a local TV news station.
