I suppose I should post the Seven Words in this thread.

Unfortunately I'm too soft spoken.    But you never were, George.  You always cut right through the b.s. like an electric knife.

Rest in peace.

Oh man. I just heard this and came to post the bad news. Sad .. He was amazing.. When I was very young, my Mom would allow me to listen to him even with all the the "words" because she understood how smart he was and thought, "well, you're gonna hear these words anyhow. You might as well get this guys great perspective on things while your at it."

How sad.. He will be missed by us all..

I wish his family and friends the best during this very hard period..

George, thanks for doing what you did..

I just saw the news at another site and am quite surprised.  I remember when he first started, when he was doing a traditional act.  The next time I saw him on tv he was a completely different comedian.  He certainly did a lot to shape comedy and to influence so many who came after him.

I'm sorry he's gone.

One of my heroes, because he always told it like it was.

Dammit.

Sad news.

George was one of the last of the truly great comics and free thinkers of our time.

Peace.
