The room we're in now is a Neil Grant room. It's a pretty big room, which I'm not used to, but it's working out fine. I'm making some very nice records here.
The 44th Street studios (Trutone) were done by WSDG. This is where we were from September to February. It's a wider room, which works well for 5.1 placement. I did do a couple of surround sessions while I was there and it definitely felt better than 54th Street for surround.
I don't see concrete pedestals in my future. I'm tossing around a few ideas and I'm hoping by the fall putting them in place.
It's been very interesting listening to the same monitoring system in 3 different designer's rooms. A real audio master class, for sure.
