This afternoon I received formal notice from the Administrators at Webster University that I've been promoted to Full Professor! Yay Me!

I've been teaching for 27 years, 7 as adjunct, 20 at Webster as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and now I don't have a title beginning with "Ass"!

The celebration has already begun.  I had a scoop of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream (on a cake cone) and a bottle of flavored(!) water!!  I'll be in to work late tomorrow!

So that's the cool news.  The downside is that's the last promotion I get before death.  But I think with death I get a pay bump.

Yes, today I'm celebrating 27 years of nearly competent educational instruction in audio production.

I've been an audio production professional for 35 years.  I own a small recording business and have not once received a pay raise, no matter how good the evaluations I have given myself have been.
