Otari MTR90mkII Autolocator
« on: May 25, 2004, 03:27:19 AM »

Hello

I recently bought a MTR90mkII machine without an Autolocator. Now I can get a CB120 Locator that was built, I think , for MTR 100 machines. A friend of mine told me that i can use this Locator  with my machine. I only need to do some Modifications either at the machine or the locator, he couldn´t tell me what to do.
Maybe you can tell what modification i have to do to get the locator working with my machine.

Thank you in advance

The CB120 was designed for use with the MX70, MX80, and MTR10/12 recorders. To use it with a MTR100, you need to rebuild it (or possibly have a version that is later than ours). Something with tach direction and frequencies, I think.

But..

The CB120 SHOULD work with MTR90-II also - see section 4 in the CB120 operation manual:

SW33 dip switch, sections 33.5 33.6 33.7 - set to on, on, off for MTR90-II

Only you'll have to do a minor modification to get the "rehearse" function working well on the MTR90
