Anyone notice they had headset mics on all 36 singers in that chorus? Surely they didn't...

Had to add this one for Terry:  Gimme All Your Lovin'

"you should rent the movie, The Leningrad Cowboys. It's pretty funny. It's been out for years. I'm actually surprised there's a real group."

they formed for the movie, but became so successful, that they began to tour and release records (a la spinal tap)

It seems that the Lyrics to "Sweet Home Alabama" are every bit as right-wing and caveman

WOW.  This is mind blowing... possibly the single most culturally uplifting moment in memory for me.  NOT joking.

I think this should be mandatory viewing for every single politician   on the planet.

It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to know that the folks over there are open to this type of thing... what the hell is wrong with our culture?  I think the answer is in these videos.

WE are the anal ones.

The costumes and hair, hilarious. The concept, inspiring and thought provoking. The music and theatrics, thoroughly enjoyable.

The opportunity for out of context political bashing....

priceless.

Hate to hijack the thread, but this has always bugged me. Everyone is so taken by the nice guitar work that they ignore that the lyric is a celebration of racism. "In Birmingham we love the governor". That would be George Wallace, the ardent segregationist.

No, it's "In Birmingham they love the governor".

I always thought there was a certain amount of intended irony in that song, not least because Lynyrd Skynyrd and Neil Young were in fact the best of friends!

Or I might have it all wrong .... Rolling Eyes

The song was an answer to Young's Southern Man" and basically told Neil to piss off.
