ESI 24/192 boxes?
« on: May 17, 2004, 10:39:11 PM »

So I originally posted this in the wrong forum. D'oh.

Anybody have anything at all to say about the Egosys Waveterminal 192X, Wami Rack 192x, or Quatafire 610? There seems to be a high bang-for-buck quotient with these, but only if they sound halfway decent...

Thanks in advance.

They sound considerably more than 1/2 decent and they are a good value if 4 in (with good pre's) 8 out floats your boat, running two in a rig can be tricky but one is damn solid, great drivers, above average sound quality, underated, ESI has some new products on the horizon that look pretty interesting.

Wow, an actual response... and informed too. Thanks Randall.

Yeah, I've got my eye on their Firewire interfaces-- was concerned that the sound might be meh even if the speed of transmission was slamming. Good to hear the sound is better than meh.
