non room mode dip @ 58Hz, need absorber advice
« on: February 29, 2008, 09:01:46 AM »

serious problem here:

index.php/fa/7912/0/

(soundpath B) minus (direct path A) = 1/2 wavelength of 58Hz which give a
ugly dip @58Hz at the listening position.

what would be the most effective absorber type to but into the ceiling/frontwall
corner? diy preferred (I dont fear heavy woodwork Wink )

for a start, since there's some ringing there as well (based on your previous measurements) maybe use a "superchunk" style absorber in the upper wall-ceiling corner. it may provide enough attenuation to reduce this dip plus it's broadband in nature.
