I admit I'm dying to know...

I'll be spending the day checking the gadget blogs:

www.tuaw.com

www.engadget.com

www.gizmodo.com

Boy that's a sad commentary on my life!

Oh shit, Macworld starts today? I thought it wasn't for a couple of weeks. I was totally going to dump all of my RRSPs into Apple stock a few days beforehand and reap the instant profits.

They say the heart of Rock & Roll is still beating, which is amazing if you consider all the blow it's done over the years.

"The Internet enables pompous blowhards to interact with other pompous blowhards in a big circle jerk of pomposity." - Bill Maher

"The negative aspects of this business, not only will continue to prevail, but will continue to accelerate in madness. Conditions aren't going to get better, because the economics of rock and roll are getting closer and closer to the economics of Big Business America." - Bill Graham

I will proudly say I was one of the two people who owned a NeXT.  There were more than that in reality but it didn't feel like it.

By the time I was finished investing in that computer I had spent $20k!  It was like owning a Ferrari you couldn't get gas for.

We had 12 NeXT machines to start out and bought many more.  If Jobs had been able to release them with hard drives instead of the optical drive they might have made it.  We ran on the lab on the NeXT platform for almost 10 years, replacing a PDP-10 mainframe clone.

My dual processor G5 is everything the NeXT was intended to be, just 15 years later.
