...and i was just recovering from the "i used a limiter, i am a horrible person" thread over at w.w!

a two stage limiter seems intriguing. i've been using more than one brickwall
limiter in my chains for a while, sometimes a lot more than one. can you
expound on the multi-stage concept?

PSP Xenon is a full band, dual-stage limiter plug-in (AudioUnit, VST and RTAS for MacOSX UniversalBinary; VST and RTAS for PC) featuring an integrated Leveller, advanced K-System metering and psychoacoustically optimized wordlength reduction. PSP Xenon offers 64-bit precision processing throughout its entire signal path, and can operate at sample rates up to 192kHz.
Once you experience for yourself the pristine, transparent response and intuitive design of this plug-in, we believe it will become your "go to" limiter for mastering and other critical audio applications.

Demo limitations:

We are offering 14-day fully functional demo but please be aware that it requires iLok USB dongle to run. When you request PSP Xenon demo license at our website you will be asked to provide us your iLok.com user id. This will allow us to deposit the demo authorization into your iLok.com account. If you do not already own an iLok, you will need to purchase one. iLok dongle MSRP is USD/EUR 40 and you can buy it directly at http://wwww.iLok.com or from any pro audio dealer.

Buy now! Get the demo now!

Yeah, that's one of the things that's great about PSP.  Not only do they make great sounding plugs but the more you buy, the more discounted your next purchase is. Everyone gets their own discount.

I did some testing on Xenon (not Xeon) before it's release.  It's a good sounding limiter with some nice options to allow you to go from a softer sound to a more aggressive sound via the way it can handles transients.

Look, I know it's mean.  But sometimes the end justifies the mean.

Hey Bob, how do you find it compared to Ozone? I'm having a tough time deciding. For me it's program dependent, for most stuff I think Ozone still has the edge, but for that 10% that is too fiddly for Ozone I think Xenon has the additional parameters to deal with a problem source.

Yeah, I think Xenon already sounds good and knowing PSP may even get better as time goes on.

Man, by the time they release the "Xenon 16-LL UltraMultiMaximizer", things will REALLY be cooking.
