So here's my dilemma....

I have $1k to spend on monitors, but I have a specific limitation.  The place I work has given me an award which is worth $1k at Amazon.com.... so that's where I have to spend the money.

What is available at amazon.com that is worth a damn:

Dynaudio BM5 passive
Dynaudio BM5a (active)
KRK VXT 6
Event Studio Precision 6
Mackie HR624mk2

I do NOT need power, but everything I'm seeing is active except the Dynaudios...

Unfortunately, I cannot just try 'em out because my local dealer doesn't have the KRK or Dynaudios (plus I have an ethical problem with going to my local guy and testing monitors knowing I won't buy from them).  

Obviously, it's a personal decision, but my question is what would YOU choose...

If it matters, I do a wide variety of music... ambient pop/rock, acoustic, etc.  I currently have Tannoy Reveals (original version) passive.  

I know what I WOULD do after hearing them... I'd buy the Adam A-7, but it's not available from Amazon.
