I've seen the circuit and think it's a Stout Porter!
I'll be curious what opamps you end up liking, the well-known lot or the Sontec-y bullet-trains.

I hear the PCB layout is enormous.

Yep, still have a Sontec (though it's on loan to a buddy), so right now I'm just using the Davelizer and Ibis. The new parametric is based on a Barry porter design, should be ready for a listen soon...

seems like you are preferring the custom made gear to the off the shelf variety these days? I guess with Burgess back on deck seems the Sontec is no longer "exclusive" enough for you... <insert jealous emoticon>

Yah, well, I've always had a decent amount of custom stuff around, but I didn't decide to sell one of my Sontecs until I got the Davelizer (and that was before I knew Burgess was rolling out new EQ's). The Barry Porter EQ is one that looks like it will be righteous (according to my tech friends) and EQ's are the one thing I've always been really picky about - there just aren't very many that turn me on...

Yeah, remember to make some space for the support-posts every few inches! The non-flex model. She's a biggun.

So - it has an external power supply?

As far as PCB layout space - I think the Medici might have it beat.

Yah, everything I have built is outboard powered.

Probably AD797 for the I/O stages and OPA627 for the integrators, with something discrete for the summing.

Whatever is least trendy.

The reason the boards are so huge is that it's layed-out for either 8 pin DIP or 990 style opamps.

For scale, that chassis is 16" deep...
