A/D convertors on Lexicon PCM 91
« on: May 13, 2004, 02:14:25 PM »

Hello and thanks for any input,

I am trying to maximize my current set-up as I save to purchase some different gear.

Has anyone used the lexicon PCM 91 for its A/D conversion on the front end of a DAW.  I haven't had the chance to play with it much, but it does seem to make a noticable improvement.  I realize A/D's range in price and "color", but if anyone has used this type of set-up and can compare it to other A/D's that would be helpful.  How do the A/D's in the Lexy compare to others, and is what I'm doing seem logical.  I just set the unit to a factory reverb (completely dry) and go from my pre-amp into my digital input on the DAW.

thanks
Toddler
