Hey Terry, as you can hear from the newest demo, fat snares are going to be a plenty in the new 1.5 series.  I can think of 5 new snares that are definitely on the FAT side.  Here is another new one, definitely pretty FAT!

But Terry, once you dive in, the current 1.0 collection has some real fatties as well, SNARE4, SNARE6, AND SNARE8!  Huge sounding. Here is Snare4 in action:

very cool to hear the positive feedback...

here again are the two new audio demos

www.stevenslatedrums.com/demo/snare14z4.mp3
featuring Elite Mixer Series Snare14 and kick4 and the new "natural toms" and the Snare 14 Z4 stereo real room ambience sample

www.stevenslatedrums.com/demo/emsnares.mp3
featuring kick1B, and Elite Mixer Series Snares 12 and 15 and 15's Z4.

Few quick questions for potential customers:

would the ability to download within 24 hours (we code each collection with our antipiracy software so instant downloads won't be acheivable) be an attractive offer?

how many of you use drum samples for augmenting replacing or do you prefer drum software where you can program real kits?  Thanks,

Steven

drumagog (or such like) for me

augmented bass drum and/or snare

i have gone in and pasted a crash or other fun thing by hand before...

note: don't forget to check the phase on the augmented track (even though, they are not the same recording, phase cancellation can still occur, especially in the larger waveforms, like bass drum or floor tom)

OK, I use Apptrigga, maybe it's time to try the new Gog and the SS drums.

I dunno, so much stuff so little money.

Drumagog is a great tool, you'll love it.  I do like Aptrigga but it misses Drumagog's rich multi velocity/multi sample features.

here's another done with Drumagoag/1.5 Elite Mixer drums:

http://www.stevenslatedrums.com/demo/twilight.mp3

you will hear the original drums in the above demo... they were recorded in a less then stellar room with sub par mics, VERY demo stuff.  But the samples really give it a BIG BUDGET sound not reminiscent of demo at all, and the best part is that it took about 15 seconds to accomplish.  Fun stuff.
