i spent 4 years looking for this one to match one a friend GAVE ME!!!!!

they sound AMAZING.

and it ain't got no power chord..............

i LOVE these boxes.  never heard anything like it.

maybe i should bump something through them to give you guys a before and after.

keep an eye out for them, well worth the 100 bucks.

From the description it looks like it's a passive phase rotator.  Great for ekeing out a bit of extra headroom when smacking a broadcast limiter with things like male vox.  Dunno what you'd do with it otherwise - maybe J. can fill us in on what he uses it for.

i use it on room mics mostly.

it's cool on bass guitar and kick drums as well.

i'm sure i like the sound of the two GIANT transformers mostly.

Would be a cool thing to have around, but I'd say use with caution....it'll change the phase relationships of the different harmonics within the signal,  which can allow you to get things louder but is that really a problem in tracking or mixing?  I think they can mess with intelligibility & other things.
