uh huh...
FWIW, in my experience an analog landline works much better than VOIP. The difference in detail is amazing. YMMV.

In this case you "don't get what you paid for"

and

As P.T. Barnum did not say "There is a sucker born every minute"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There's_a_sucker_born_every_min ute

I wonder what will be out next....laying of the hands on speakers for more bass, a sermon on the sub woofer, pixie dust or a steak cooked slowly over your tube equipment to make the sound fatter? I give up....

Where do these people and their ideas come from???????? and worse who uses these products and is willing to have their comments on the WWW for others to see.

That's just silly, Tom.  All discriminating audiophiles know that only by letting a country ham slow roast over the tubes will improve the sound. Follow by a 3 day "burn in" and some of my custom Rusby Mastering $200.00 per oz sauce, with a side of IPA.
Drink enough of my IPA and you'll either hear the difference or not care any more.....

I'm a Ham operator, jtr. So I know that a Sugar-Cured, Spiral-cut, Virginia Ham, carefully placed on acoustic isolators and positioned directly above the anodes is best for a full "Plate Load" of delicious pork Valhalla.

While I can't defend the people offering cryogenics or the practice itself, there are a lot of industries, including racing cars, that use that technique for durability in their parts...

I friend of mine (AG6K) is building an amp with an Eimac 3CX10,000.  The tube itself weighs about 10 lbs and has handles on it.  Now, we're talking some power!

The output transformer design can be onerous.
Parafeed is common, to eliminate the plate current having to pass thru the iron.

I wish they made a triode that big with a low plate R.

Wayne Green would have made a good audiophile, what with his colliodial Silver, and cold-fusion beliefs....

I've tried my best to marginalize the True Audiophiles, but a fat lot of good its done.
