Demeter VTMP-2 Question
« on: June 03, 2007, 01:25:08 PM »

I am looking for information on this pre. Would this pre be worth buying for $800 if in great condition?

Is the DI as good as the stand alone DI for bass.

Is the circuit class A or B?

This looks to be the original model but I can't find any specs or information on this particular Demeter mic preamp.

Thanks for any help-!!

Most preamp circuits tend to be Class A.

I dunno the specs.

I have used one and it's prolly something worth 800 for a dual mono one lightlty used.

I think this is a great pre-amp, and a great DI.  A friend of mine has one, and I wore out my welcome borrowing it.  I'd certainly pick one up for $800.  I recorded a bunch of Fender Jazz bass tracks through the DI and always enjoyed the results. YMMV.
