We have a ladies' roller derby circuit in Texas and the Austin location even has the traditional banked wooden rink. Hard rock bands play during the intermissions. My favorite team is the Putas Del Fuego.

I don't know if it's the same thing but I have some friends who are rollergirls up here in the twin cities . Music association wise , it's more punk rawk than anything .

Seattle's team just beat out the reigning champs (Austin).
