The "hero of..."
« on: April 30, 2007, 12:53:03 AM »

So, for example:

the Bush government has ample warnings that there's a major hurrican coming.
they have ample warnings that the levees need upgrading.

they have folded a well functioning agency (FEMA) into homeland security, for self-serving or wrongheaded reasons; and have installed an ill-prepared, utterly inexperienced (in emergency management - the agency's PURPOSE) head.

so, the disaster strikes and we all know what happens.

so would anyone REASONABLE call Bush "the hero of hurricane Katrina"???

ladies and gentlemen, I give you Rudolph Giuliani.

Guiliani -- the hero of 9/11.  Except the NYC firefighters loathe him.  I wonder why...

guiliani will never win. there's no friggin way. I honestly think that had it not been for 9/11 his political career was over. he got way too power hungry.

The guy's been married 3 times and his son from marriage number 2 hates him.

He tried banning art.

He started enforcing "cabaret laws" in nyc which basically means you can get arrested for dancing if the building you're in doesnt have the proper permit.

His Chief of Police and partner in a security consulting firm was found to have mob ties, evaded taxes, hired illegal employees for his home, and had an apt downtown paid for by the city so he could fuck strippers without his wife knowing.

good luck rudy! Laughing

ALL that is true..

but he also made brilliant decisions like putting his command centre in the trade center EVEN AFTER it was discussed and advised against for the very REAOSN that the trade center was (and had already been) an obvious terrorist target.
and where is the rebuilt command centre NOW?? IN the very spot it was recommended to Giuliani to put it.

Then there's the obvious lying to the police and firemen and construction guys working in the aftermath. When the EPA knew it waas toxic...

he was the guy at the switch (asleep) leading up to Sept 11... not the "hero"

Are you really angry at Rudy for the downtown apt.?  I can forgive him that one at least.

Please don't hate me girls, it's just jokes.
