Subject: FW: DTB band equipment stolen...

Would you guys send this out to as many musicians as you know, below is
going to turn up somewhere.
Sad, stolen from Yonrico's house, trailer sitting in his front yard
Derek Trucks Band Equipment Stolen.... Emergency - Please Help

The Derek Trucks Band's equipment trailer was stolen last night in Atlanta. I need to purchase the following equipment ASAP. Anyone who is willing to sell any of this gear, please contact us

1) Two blackface Super Reverbs, 1965 preferred,
1964 through 1967 acceptable. Must have
original transformers; everything else will be
tweaked by me to Derek's spec. Speakers
not important - keep 'em if you like. As long
as the cabinet and baffle board aren't busted,
I don't give a **** what it looks like.

2) One 1974 or earlier Ampeg SVT head. Must
have original trannies. Looks not important
Not looking for the oldest production with the
6146B output tubes, please.

Posters in the Atlanta area, please be on the
lookout for the stolen gear. A list of serial
numbers will be posted as soon as I receive it.

Here is a list of the key items that were in the
DTB trailer. This is not a complete list but these
are the items we

Sorry to hear about the loss.

I believe about 90% of thefts of audio/band equipment is done by someone familiar with what it is and someone who has access to the working schedule, vehicle or space and knows more about it than the average person on the street should know.

Having been though this with friends who have had their studios ripped off I would look very close to home and friends of friends if you get my drift.

I saw DTB tonight, what a great band. Musical, dynamic, & tasty.
I don't know what ever happened to their gear but they sure sounded good.
Except for just one thing- the now ever present 20dB too loud kick drum.....

This is a good place to list the gear with serial numbers, since these posts end up in the Google indexing.  Good luck finding the culprit(s) and the gear.

Very true except for an unsual case in Sydney where a mobile recording studio housed in a 20' shipping container vanished off the face of the earth. Police put it down to the usual shipping container thefts where the thieves expect it to be full of just-landed retail merchandise from China which they can sell at markets. Sure bet they got a surprise!

Wow!

Didn't hear about this...

Sounds like the old Jands mobile...that's the only mobile I'm aware of that was built into a container.

When did this happen?

Cheers,
