I'm doing a Tutorial on disk recording with Al Grundy Saturday at 9:00 AM. It's a brutal time slot but the talk should be good. Al is doing the technical part of the talk and I'm doing the practical. Al is going first. That will be the better half.

I'm also giving a tutorial on Saturday, but at 2:30PM and on archiving audio.  At the same time, there's a mastering event going on elsewhere, so I'm not going to cry if no one from this forum shows up.

Jim

P.S. Paul, I'm looking forward to your talk!

I'm on a Saturday morning panel as well, on the production of the Grateful Dead's Europe 72: The Complete Recordings box set. If you want to hear Dark Star first thing in morning, be there.

I'm going. Looking forward to Leif Mases' talk as well as a bunch of others. I'm assisting Al & Paul's talk too - i.e. fiddling with Powerpoint. Hope to run into a bunch of you fellas.

I'll be there, and hoping Crispin will make the tightness of schedule easier by simply having cold beer at his booth.

Walking the floor Friday afternoon.  Mastering Workshop on Saturday, 2-4p.  I decided to do a "fly on the ceiling" video of myself working through a tune this year.  It should get a few chuckles.

Bad weekend for hanging, thou.

Want to see the Neve.

Stop by Masterdisk on Saturday after the show. (6:00) ...

We're showing the new Neve bus-comp, and having a margarita party ;-)

only a few blocks from the center ... short time-slot .. 6-8  (hey, only so many free margaritas we can pull) .. stop by before heading out to the rest of Saturday nights festivities.

I'll be around AES tomorrow .. catch me for a VIP pass to the margarita/Neve event.

Who doesn't want to hear a good 1972 Dark Star first thing in the morning is the real question!   8)

Still haven't pulled the trigger on the box set yet but definitely plan to.
