And this is a M269C.

To me, the M269C indeed looks older. I don't really know what else to look for.

Gigantic! Ouch!

Both appear to be genuine Neumann K67 capsules. However, they may sound quite different from each other, considering the variations in construction and wide gap in manufacturing dates: the upper one (obviously a replacement) was made in 1986, the lower one I would guess around 1964/1965.

The first pic, the capsule with plastic ring, looks like an autentique Neumann capsule. I have some k67 with red wires here. I agree with Klaus, the first capsule it's a replacement, not the original capsule that comes with 269. In that period, k67 have a metal ring (like the 2nd capsule pics)

Thanks!

The differences are rather small, but if I have to say something the 269 sounds newer, as in clearer, more detailed, flatter (frequency wise). The 269C have a more pronounced midrange, and generally sounds more "creamydusty" old for lack of a better word.

Don't know if the differences are capsule related or model related.

All bets are off when comparing sub-models of a mic with such stark capsule differences.

And: who knows in what shape both capsules are...?

You would get more of an idea what is repsonsible for what sond imprint by swapping the capsule heads back and forth between the two amps. But even then, the differences in supply voltages, or tube models/tube wear, etc, etc. may account for sonic differences that one should not automatically attribute to a sub-model of a mic before ALL of thee variations are properly accounted for.

What means "F" in 269? I saw in both pictures, F - Cardioid - F

To be able to use the M269 with the already established power supply and polarisation voltage designs for other AC701- equipped tube mics used in German broadcast studios in the 1960s, this mic was equipped with a pattern switch modified from the 'omni', 'cardioid' and 'figure eight' settings used on its close relative, the U67.

The modification consisted of the usual 'cardioid' setting in the middle, and two "F" settings,  where the omni and figure eight would be located on a U67. "F" stands for "Fernsteuerung" = remote control of patterns from the power supply, like it was done on the then widely used M49 broadcast mic.

An ingenius feature of the M269 pattern switch design: in 'cardioid' the rear capsule half is physically and electrically disconnected from the circuit by the pattern switch, yielding an extra 4dB of s/n.
