"British artist Benedict Radcliffe created this amazing, full-scale sculpture of a Subaru Impreza. It looks like a computer model overlayed on a street photo, but it's real, complete with Yokohama wire frame tires.

Apparently local traffic cops weren't pleased that the art was parked outside of the gallery on the street, as over the course of a few days, it was issued a few parking tickets!"

I love that they gave the wire frame parking tickets.  Like a dog humping my leg.  Useless act, but makes them feel better.

They would have ticketed a motorcycle, or a refrigerator, if it was parked in the wrong space.  Doesn't matter what it was.  It was parked there improperly.

Thats a beautiful machine.
Back in the 80's I designed and built my own exotic car. I did it for fun and it took 4 years to make the prototype. At first my neighbors were laughing at me because the plug was made from wood, screen and clay. I then used this as the mother mold to make the female mold. I ended up making 9 of them and it was not fun any more trying to meet the demands. I sold one to Mohammed Ali's wife (Veronica) I videotaped the entire process of making the molds to various shows, to delivery to Veronica. Her kids Lala and the other girl all took rides and the inside of her home was magnificient. I have been transferring all these video tapes to DVD, and it brought back some neat memories. The machine weighed 1700 pounds and the Offenhauser/Ford 60 degree V6 put out 230 HP. The faster I went with it the smoother it felt. I was just transferring video where 2 of my cars drove to Vegas to a show and we had the camera poised on the Speedo. About 6 years ago I needed the room and sold the molds/design (deemed a sculpture) to some business in Canada Wow it seems like yesterday, time sure does fly by

OK I'll go thru the hundreds of pictures and find different stages of construction and several machines. The machine that went to Veronica had a Porche 930 turbo. I teamed up with 2 guys from the midwest and changed the name from "Cimbria" to "Viper 2000" (This is long before Dodge came out with their Viper. In the 70's we tried getting into the kit car business and sell kits to put on different frames like the Fierp, VW, and Porche, that started a trend, but it wasn't fun any more. A google search might find some info too.

soon to be production available in the US @~$115K.

Sometimes I have a slight issue with the word "FAST" in the thread title, because I do believe in driving safety, especially after the crash a week ago.  For me, it's more of a "GOOD" car, and those best ones are often also the fastest.

Having said that, one of my vehicles is a '94 Lincoln Mk VIII.

Last year, we decided to test the 0-60 speed of that car on a long, unused, safe, empty road.

Even though I forgot there was luggage in the trunk, and there were two people in the car, we did 0-60 mph in 5.0 seconds.
