TOO MUCH BASS IN RECORDING!!!!!!!!!
« on: February 17, 2007, 01:18:55 AM »

I've recently recorded someone "video" at a concert recently. After viewing the video, I realized that the subwoofers there were overpowering EVERYTHING. Heres a sample of the audio from the video

Is there a way I can get those low "booms" out of there?
Thanks

High pass at 300hz

Might have some overtone problems though, most likely.

You could try using a multiband and compress everything below about 100hz - that will tame and tighten up the low end simultaneously  if you do it right. Just make sure it doesn't thin out too much

You have more subwoofer cabinet farting than midrange or even bass. It's not just an EQ issue. Even if you take the bass out, the mid frequency cabinet farting remains.
