You had to see what we used to use!

I'm proud to say mine are not paver stones (picture 4), but 1200 Lbs of concrete under the L/R, with a hole cut in the floating floor so the concrete goes right to the slab.

Should I repost that picture in the "show us your room" thread?

Hey Mark,

I see several of the Sony rooms use Trompeter twinax patching - for AES? A great solution; used here also.

Yeah, it works real nice.  It's only a problem if you're in the habit of twisting patch cords, then the connection breaks in the rear and then you get nasty looks from the shop!

And in this case, nasty looks in the mirror, since I usually am the shop.

Keep in mind there is also about a 1/2 inch gap entirely around the block so it doesn't couple with the floating floor.

The center is on 700Lbs with square metal legs that go to the slab.  This was the work around so they didn't have to cut gapping holes.  There's just 4 core drillings that go down.  The block is slightly elevated above the floor.  That coupling thing.

Thanks Tom. It's good to see that Sony's archive is in very good hands.
