200ohm input impedance

(1/1)

synthi:
Hi Oliver,

I have several tube and transitor preamps from DDR, and almost all of them have a input impedance of 200 ohms. I think this is suitable for 50 ohms microphones, but how to proper interfacing with modern mics that whant to see around 2K input impedances? Maybe just using a resistive balanced network (2Kohms-->50ohms)in front at the cost of some signal loss? other solutions?

Thanks!

Synthi

Oliver Archut:
Most of the GDR/DDR RFT audio devices you can change the impedane via an inside tap....
If they do not have a tap a tap is the easiest way, or a new input would be the best solution.

Best regards,
