Good free room response measuring software
« on: February 08, 2007, 06:33:56 AM »

Hi there,
for those who want to take their own measurements and can't afford
the available commercial solutions here is the link to a little
gem I've found last weekend:

RoomEQWizard

Quite easy to use, stable and does the job very well.

Enjoy.

Looks like strong package... Maybe we can "kick the tires" a little and give some feedback from our end as well. Nice find!

Yep, I've turned that software upside down and wrote down all
my findings (especially about workflow improvements).

I'll give some feedback.

Indeed a really great program, with the best CSD/waterfall display interface I ever saw Smile

John Mulcahy (the developer of the REQW) is verry responsive to the users, frequently answering himself on diffrent forums about their problems/requests regarding his software.

The only drawback for me to use only this measurement software for my bussines needs (mainly small room acoustics) is that it can't measure reverb times. But John said that the feature is on the to do list, so there is hope  Smile
