I use a pair of Velodyne DD12s in my room and absolutely love them - they extend down to 17Hz and integrate very nicely with my mains (crossed over at 36Hz,mains run full range). Hard to find any fault with them, honestly...

Hey Brad, when are you going to upgrade your DD12's for 2 of these?

That would seriously get some air (& the walls) moving Very Happy

Holy crap!

I suppose if I mastered in an arena that would be useful...

Love the BM6as for mixing, wouldn't use them alone for mastering, there is loss of detail in the low/mids around 500Hz that can pose serious problems. Mixes do translate on them very well. They compliment larger mid fields such as the ATCSCM50s, that have incredible midrange/low end detail.

a)"Dynaudio is on of the only (maybe the only) manufacturer of high end monitors, who also manufacture their own drivers. Dynaudio used to sell to MANY other speaker manufacturer (like Klein&Hummel, and Wilson, and many hifi manufactures) but have closed a lot of the OEM business down as it is too small."

b)"The new 6A has not much in common to the old one - and is also cheaper.Bigger models has more bass - so if that's what you need - go for the 12A. "

c)"BBC did the most analytical approach of choosing speakers when they moved: Dynaudio beated the competition - one reason is that they sound like a family - many other speaker manufactures a big model sounds very different from a small one - meaning they don't have a clue of what they do - or they cannot source the drivers they need, as they have to buy them in China. Dynaudio drivers are hand made in Denmark - Dynaudio has a sound that is similar form the AIR25 to the bm%a compact. In other words - you can trust them, which is what its all about when using a monitor!"
