I would trap the corners and put additional broadband absorption at the first reflection points.

If someone was to treat the first reflection points with 703, would there be an optimum thickness to use?

Right now I have only 1" 703 at the first reflection points and I'm wondering if I should add more layers.

Thanks,
Lou

Yes, thicker is always better. First reflections are mainly a mid/high frequency issue, so two inches of 703 is technically up to the job. But more bass trapping is always welcome in any room, making four inches thick even better if you can give up the additional space.

For the average room, I would advise fairly thick absorption at the 1st reflection points, so you don't unintentionally reduce the reverberation time in the highs and mids but leave the lows unattenuated, thus creating a "muddy" acoustic.

We generally use 6" as a working minimum for near wall and ceiling reflection treatments... If you only absorb the high frequencies, then you will get a smeared bandwidth limited reflection, which will make the comb filtering even more interesting!!

You can also use vith verry good results thinner absorbtion (like 3-4") and put it at a distance from the wall surface, between 100% to 150% of the absorbant thickness.
